Effective date: October 7, 2026
These terms govern use of Luma ("the Service"), operated by Engage AI LLC ("we," "us"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to them on behalf of yourself and, if you act for a law firm, that firm.
Luma is an AI-assisted work platform for law firms: it processes documents a firm uploads, assists with analysis, and generates draft documents and correspondence at a user's request.
You are responsible for your credentials and for activity under your account. Firm administrators control who in their firm has access and at what permission level. Notify us promptly of any suspected unauthorized access.
Luma is a drafting and analysis tool. It is not a law firm, does not practice law, and nothing it produces is legal advice. Every output is a draft for review: a licensed attorney must review, verify, and approve any document before it is relied on, filed, or sent, and the attorney and firm retain full professional responsibility for all work product. AI systems can make mistakes, including miscitations and incorrect statements presented confidently.
Your firm owns the content it uploads and the documents it generates. You grant us the limited rights needed to host and process that content to provide the Service, as described in our Privacy Policy. We treat firm content as confidential and do not use it to train AI models.
Do not use the Service to violate law or court rules, infringe others' rights, upload malicious code, probe or disrupt the Service, or access another firm's data. Do not resell the Service without our written agreement.
If you connect a Google account, your use of Google services remains governed by Google's terms, and our handling of Google user data is described in the Privacy Policy. You can disconnect at any time in the Service or at Google's security settings.
Paid plans are billed as described at purchase. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law or stated otherwise in an order form.
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for material breach of these terms. On termination your firm may export its content, after which Section 7 of the Privacy Policy (retention and deletion) applies.
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amounts your firm paid us in the twelve months before the claim, and neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and disputes will be resolved in the state and federal courts located in California.
